1. Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy describes how AppTimeLock ("the app", "we", "us"), provided by AppTimeLock, handles information when you use the app on your iOS device. By using AppTimeLock you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we do not collect
AppTimeLock is built to work without knowing who you are. We do not:
- require an account, email address, phone number, or login;
- collect your name, contacts, location, photos, or messages;
- track you across other apps or websites, or build an advertising profile;
- sell or rent any data to third parties.
3. On-device data
The information you create while using AppTimeLock — the apps and categories you choose to block, your modes (Always On, Cooldown, Schedule), daily budgets, Strict Mode settings, and related preferences — is stored only on your device.
AppTimeLock uses Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time frameworks to apply blocks. Apple provides these app and usage tokens to the app in a privacy-preserving way; this data is processed on-device to enforce your rules and is never transmitted to us or to any server. We cannot see which specific apps you use or block.
4. Anonymous analytics
To understand whether the app is working well and which features are used, AppTimeLock collects limited, fully anonymous usage analytics through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service.
This analytics data contains no personal information and no advertising identifiers. Device identifiers are hashed into a non-reversible, anonymous value before they ever leave the device, so events cannot be traced back to you or to your Apple ID. We use it only to see aggregate metrics such as app launches, feature usage counts, and crash or error signals — never the contents of your blocks or your browsing.
5. Subscriptions & purchases
Optional premium features are offered through auto-renewing subscriptions handled entirely by Apple's App Store using StoreKit. When you subscribe, your payment and billing information is processed by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policy — we never receive or store your payment details.
The app receives only an anonymous receipt from Apple to verify whether a subscription is active. This contains no payment information.
7. Data retention
On-device data remains on your device until you change it or delete the app. Removing AppTimeLock from your iPhone deletes its on-device data. Anonymous analytics events are retained by TelemetryDeck in aggregate and cannot be tied back to you.
8. Your rights & choices
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing personal for us to export or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control:
- Delete all on-device data at any time by deleting the app;
- Manage or cancel subscriptions via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions;
- Manage Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings → Screen Time.

9. Children's privacy
AppTimeLock is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If AppTimeLock is used to manage a child's device through Screen Time, all configuration data remains on-device as described above.
10. Security
Your data is protected by your device's own security and Apple's platform protections. Because nothing sensitive is transmitted off the device, there is no remote database of personal information that could be breached.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through the app or App Store listing. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
